We are now looking for a Senior Manager for the Operations Accounting Team that is responsible for Research and Product Development at Volvo Cars. We offer a diverse role with the opportunity to lead a dedicated and skilled team by example, aiming to secure high-quality accounting and continuous improvements for the business. This role is part of the Northern and Central European Cluster Accounting Management Team.

What you’ll do:
In the role as Senior Manager – Operations Accounting, you will lead a team of 14 colleagues. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings and reporting. In specific accounting issues and projects, you will guide and coach the team and you will be actively involved where necessary. Ensuring we have the methods, tools, and resources to achieve our goals are also key in this role. You will be collaborating with a variety of people within our global organization, both within Finance and the Operations itself.

What you’ll bring:
We believe you have a university degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar education, and you are fluent in English both verbally and written. You have experience from your previous leadership positions and have significant accounting skills in Swedish GAAP and IFRS. You are or have been working in a global environment which has given you the skills needed for effective global communication and networking. Your analysis and problem-solving techniques are solid, and you possess the ability to grasp the big picture. 

We believe you are a people-minded leader with a genuine interest in accounting and the business itself. You are open-minded and like to make improvements together with your team. To be effective in this role you should be committed to developing people and leading through others. You create and drive commitment with ease, communicate in an efficient way and are not afraid of taking decisions. Personality is key and qualities like high integrity and the ability to uphold standards of professionalism and confidentiality are valued. You have the flexibility to handle short notice situations and you walk-the-talk.
