Senior Manager, Parts Logistics

Volvo Penta is in the early stages of an exciting transformation journey and the role of logistics will be of increasing importance as we meet the business evolution and sustainability challenges ahead of us


We are now looking for a Senior Manager, Parts Logistics. We in Global Parts Logistics work in tight connection with our business units, markets and colleagues in Service Market Logistics (GTO SML) to ensure our current and future customer needs are met with best in class logistics solutions. In this role you will have the responsibility and great opportunity to lead and drive the global direction for Volvo Penta within the parts logistic area. You will report to the Director Parts Logistics and be part of a small and experienced team.


Your core responsibilities will include:
Develop and drive the Volvo Penta Parts Logistic strategy based on business requirements and the Volvo Penta strategy
Based on your experience and insight, initiate, and drive logistic development projects
Be a strong contributor to the realization of the Parts Logistic strategy, execution plans and digital roadmap
Be the voice of Volvo Penta business units in the dialogue with GTO SML and wider Volvo Group
Be the Center of Expertise in parts logistics and support/challenge business units and markets in parts logistic related questions​
Drive the implementation and usage of data analytics to optimize the supply chain (short and long term)

Qualifications and personal skills:
We are looking for a person with a business mindset combined with a solid and broad logistics experience. You are “easy going”, people minded and a true team player. You are a good presenter, easily connect to people and have the ability to drive activities through excellent cross-functional cooperation. You have a documented experience in driving complex projects, able to work in an agile environment and used to drive several activities in parallel in a global context. We would also appreciate someone with the courage to think outside the box.
