Who are you?

You share our belief that companies can significantly improve by using People Data for insights to make more informed decision on talents. You are very curious in finding new and better ways to make relevant analytics and you keep moving to constantly trying to figure out how best achieve impact with your analysis. You are a constant learner and are trying to keep up with the development in the People Analytics area (but like the rest of us you are probably finding it difficult). Most importantly you understand that People Analytics is a team sport and that while there are significant technical challenges to the job, the make-or-break competences are in how we are connect, learn from and guide stakeholders with our solutions.

A broad set of capabilties are useful for the role. Few people are covering all skills needed in a People Analytics team, but we would want you to tick as many as possible of the following; deep understand of HR systems, a strong business and HR understanding, have been working on applied analytics ranging from setting KPI frameworks to providing deep dives and analysis as well as been working with data visualization (PBI or other) and other analytics solutions. Moreover, you have the consulting skills to understand what people need even if they cannot clearly formulate it, you feel comfortable creating simple yet powerful visualizations and you are comfortable speaking to all levels in the organization. You are both a strategist and an operational practician with the ability to shift seamlessly between the two depending on context. You are not an analyst or an HR person – you are probably both.

You recognize and understand the end-to-end flow from transactional processes to data capture to data integration and analysis. You are used to help people understand the connections in this flow. You have a user approach in all you do – and are helping people to build understanding and capability in People Analytics when you collaborate. You have worked hard when it comes to explain to stakeholders how People Analytics can bring value.

About the job

This role will be critical to accelerate the newly founded People Analytics function at Alfal Laval and work close with the Head of People Analytics and the rest of the organization to build our People Analytics function and HR capabilities in the Analytics area. You will also partner practically with senior stakeholders in HR and other functions to provide analysis as basis for more fact based decision making

Key tasks

* Perform analysis of our HR data to identify risks, opportunities and trends and where possible provide diagnosis and facilitate interventions
* Collaborate to define and realize our People Analytics Service Offering
* Co-develop data strategy and framework to enable we capture information needed to provide insights on prioritized topics
* Consult & support the organization on design and status of KPI´s and metrics and highlight progress and challenges
* Partner closely with Value stream (IT) and Business Owners to ensure the data perspective of digital HR solutions in order to drive value and trust in analytics
* Train and inspire the HR community about analytics and fact based decisions as well as actual people analytics solutions
* Align with Data privacy representatives to ensure continuous compliance

Qualifications

You are a strong collaborator who easily connects with stakeholders across different functions and levels, and you can make the complex simple and accessible.  You are very curious and are at all times ready to challenge your own assumptions and biases. You have an eye for details without losing the view of the whole, you are skilled and visualizing and presenting HR-data in a compelling and easy to understand way that leads to action focused dialogues over discussing data details. In addition, you have a good understanding of HR processes and ways of working. Applied a global mindset on all you do is critical, and you likely already have had jobs with global reach.

An absolute minimum of 5 years of work experience within data & analytics, preferably within the HR domain.

* Experience from HRIS, People Analytics, HR Digitalization, data manipulation & data visualization
* Experience and knowledge in analytics business partnering and as well as training people on people analytics
* Understanding of IT concepts, ways of working and development methods
* Strong HR functional understanding
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
