About H2 Green Steel
H2 Green Steel will produce green steel, reducing CO2 emissions with 95 percent compared to traditional steelmaking. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, we will produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel.

Senior Manager Procurement Assistance
As Senior Manager-Procurement assistance you will be responsible for assisting in vendor development and vendor evaluations, maintaining the bridge between H2GS and vendors. You are responsible to follow up deliveries with all vendors, plan for off-site inspections, assist in logistics planning, open package inspections, warehouse management and material delivery to construction companies. Working closely with the technology, commercial, construction, controlling, supply Chain and finance teams, sharing insights and setting priorities and routines will also be an important part of your role. Previous experience from working with procurement and supplier risk in large CAPEX construction projects, internationally is highly meriting. In order to be successful at H2 Green Steel, we expect that you have a can-do attitude and curiosity for global supply chains and understanding risk in complex systems.
Responsibilities
· Support the design of suitable contracting strategies in collaboration with the construction, engineering, and procurement teams for construction project delivery
· Develop and implement category resilience strategies and support the sourcing of category frame supply agreements for materials and services to secure low risk delivery while leveraging our spend across projects
· Organize and schedule deliveries as per construction requirements
· Visit suppliers/contractors at international locations for short term assignments as required from time to time
· Work on standard procedures for open package inspection between supplier and construction company
· Work on procedures to track and handover equipment and bulk materials to contractors in phased and organized manner to support site construction schedule
Qualifications
· University degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
· 12-15 years’ work experience
· Prior experience of working in Mega Module of Direct Reduction Plants, knowing standard storage procedures for equipment storage for steel plants.
· Experience in package inspection of mechanical and electricals equipment required
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence others
· Exemplary self-leadership, multitasking and organizational skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication in English
· Track record of successful project achievements, including follow-up on delivery with international suppliers and contractors
