Plastal has developed a new way to create metal and chrome-like appearances that delivers new attributes and properties in an environmentally sustainable way . It is a technique that meets technical and legal requirements of the automotive industry, both today and in the future. The Plastal site in Gothenburg will be the centre of competence/expertise for engineering, production and business development for this new and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional chrome plating. The great benefit of this new product are that parts and processes will be 100 % free from chrome and completely recyclable.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO you will have a cross functional role in the company where you in concurrence with the leadership have to initiate, steer and follow-up the combined efforts of the whole organization. The main priorities in this new position is to commercialize the product and to grow the business opportunities together with the Sales operations. Your focus will be on generating the foundation for new product variants, define new possibilities for the sales operations in order to secure profitability, building marketing and pricing strategies as well as defining operational activities. You will lead the conceptual development of the new product line creating a competitive product offer for the prioritized market segments. To ensure customer satisfaction you will in an orderly and systematic way feedback the customer perspective to R & D and run an active dialogue to understand current and future customer needs. There will also be a systematic internal interaction with R&D, sales & marketing in order to enhance the cross functional interaction in the company. You will be based in the Gothenburg office and you will be travelling on a regular basis.

Qualifications & Experience
We believe that you are a MSc in engineering or equivalent and there is an advantage if you also have additional education in Marketing/ commercial / business area. We need to understand that you have good communication skills and strong business acumen. It is very important that you have an understanding of working with automotive OEM’s or been working in the supplier industry. You should have a strong understanding of product management and have full understanding of testing and validation structures. You must have excellent people and management skills in order to interact with potential customers, and to build relationships with different stakeholders and management in the company. We assume that you have a high and a sustainable energy level with high degree of self-initiatives, well-coordinated with management, to drive the cross functional success of this new product.
