Northvolt has an exciting job offer to join our Construction team based in Skellefteå, Sweden. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Project Controls Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. By joining us, you will be a key player in ramping up Construction execution and contribute to expanding one of the first large scale European battery factories.
About the job:
You will be part of the Construction Leadership teams, setting the controls strategy and implementation of the factory through to the start of production. You will be part of an integrated team and responsible for the overall delivery of Project Controls, including Estimating, Cost Management, Planning and Scheduling, Contractor Control, Project Accounting, Trend and Change Management, Progress Measurement and Evaluation and Project Reporting.
About the team:
You will be an integral part of the Project Execution Team and work intimately with the Program, Project Management, Engineering and Procurement teams.
You will manage and support a team of Cost Control Engineers, Planners/Schedulers and Clients Owners Representatives to carry out the Project Controls of all construction projects on the Ett campus.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Management of all costs on Campus and support the team in administering during Construction.
Management of Construction Project reporting and supporting the team in administering during Construction. Example: Monitor schedule progress (actual vs forecast) along with project planner
Contractor & Supplier Controls management and improvements during construction. Example: validation of contractor Estimate at Completion (forecasts) and Earned Value Analysis
Risk & Opportunity management during construction and supporting management and execution teams with decision making. Example: periodic updates of the project and block risk and opportunity registers
Functional management of the Cost engineers, ensuring both standardisation and continuous improvement of the project control practices, as well as knowledge transfer between, and growth amongst, the cost engineers.
