Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
TE – Global Industrial Development is a part of the P&L organization with the overall mission to support the P&L management and the operational parts of P&L Chassis & Cabs, Powertrain and Logistics mainly within the area of Manufacturing Engineering.
TE is divided in 5 departments; Industrial Engineering, Industrial IT, Quality, Research & External Cooperation, Liaison Office and Strategic Projects. The heads of the departments form the TE Management team. Head of TE is a member of P&L management team and report to the head of Scania P&L.
TED – Digital Office P&L
Are you interested in working at the forefront of Industrial Development ? Would you like to lead and coach an Innovation Team ? A global assignment that includes to coordinate all Industry 4.0 initiatives in Scania production. Then this mission would be of great interest for you.
A part of the existing department TEE (Engineering) will be separated and named TED – Digital Office P&L. The new department will have a clear and strong focus on Digitalization and Automation.
The mission will be to create, maintain and develop the digitalization road maps and strategies for Production & Logistics within Industrial Operations.
One part of Digital Office P&L will include a team of Digital Officers, one for each part of P&L, Chassis & Cab, Powertrain and Logistics. The other part of Digital Office P&L is the Scania Smart Factory Lab.
As the new Senior Manager for TED – Digital Office P&L – an initial mission will be to recruit your group manager for Smart Factory Lab. The current manager of Smart Factory Lab has been given the assignment to establish the SLA Smart Factory Lab in Sao Bernardo.
The Head of TED has the global functional responsibility for Smart Factory Lab and Digitalization.
Your assignment and tasks
You will lead the team of Digital Officers, support and coach them in the assignment of gathering all Scania digitalization initiatives in a common Road Map, creating a strategy and implementing standardized solutions.
You need to work to a large extent cross functional both within Scania Industrial Operations, other support areas as Scania Industrial Maintenance, Scania IT, SPS office, Engineering Experts (TEE) and IT business architects (TEI) as well as within TRATON group and also, partly, within the VW group.
Another important assignment is to develop, maintain and align Digitalization Competence within Production & Logistics at all organizational levels
Scania Smart Factory Lab is a part of your responsibility. This is the arena for gathering, adapting, pre-studying, piloting and implementing digitalization solutions. The base for the work is the Digitalization Road Maps
Smart Factory Lab is an arena open for all Scania staff to visit and use to get competence and examine new ideas.
Your profile
You have a long experience within the area of manufacturing operations, engineering and management combined with an ability to work both on an overall strategic level and with details.
You must be prepared to work very independently, take initiative and establish contacts.
We think you arevsolution-focused and good at achieving workable solutions in cross functional collaborations.
The ability to establish, maintain, develop personal relations internally and cross functional is an important personal trait.You have and academic background and most important a strong interest in Digitalization.
You understand Digitalization and Automation in theory and practice.
Fluent in both Swedish and English language is mandatory.
