Currently we are recruiting for a Senior Material Developer Wound Care to our HQ in Gothenburg, Sweden. In this role we are looking for a Senior scientist with strong project management and communication skills to lead material development projects. The person will work in a cross-functional team to develop new materials and technologies, improve current products, resolve quality problems and provide technical supports.
Key Responsibilities
Primary source for materials expertise , information, and analysis.
Lead early development and technical initiatives and projects
Generate ideas that will enhance existing products and lead to development of new products.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to advance the development of formulas, products or processes
Support on-going material application processes, material changes and new material introductions .
Work with the manufacturing teams to ensure processes are robust and optimized.
Provide technical support to the quality teams with respect to potential material non-compliances.
Provide technical support in supplier qualification process
Support process validation for new processes or materials
Develop new material strategies and solutions for improved function, lower cost and/or complexity manufacturing with improved quality.
Collaborate with procurement and represent Mölnlycke when dealing with material suppliers
Drive improvement, life cycle management and manage material approvals
Deliver solutions and material documentation according to Mölnlycke Design Control procedures within development projects and life cycle management.
Key Qualifications, Competencies & Education:
Biotechnology, Physics, Chemical Science or Materials Engineering degree.
Fundamental knowledge of materials physics and chemistry. Thorough understanding of technologies for characterization of material properties as well as for manufacturing processes.
Min 8 years of experience working with material science applications.
Min 2 years of experience within medical.
Knowledge and experience within wound care area is an extra plus.
Experience with standard analytical tools (FTIR, DSC, Rheometry, DMA, etc.)
Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to manage projects independently
