Senior Material Engineer Printing Inks-LUN0000CR
Description
Do you see yourself taking a combined global ink expert & project manager role for the entire Tetra Pak group? Can you lead effectively across cultures, organisations, and functions?
The position is located within Base Materials group (Base Mat). Base Mat strives to continuously adapt and improve our global base material supply platforms (paperboard, polymers, aluminium foil and ink) in collaboration with our suppliers, converting factories and development organisations.
In this cross functional role you complement the team with your experience in converting, printing inks and project management where you manage & support important stakeholders around the globe - both internal and external. You will report to the Manager Ink Technology. Your base will be Lund and travel about 40 days/year.
Main responsibilities
- Drive scouting and qualification of ink suppliers and technologies
- Drive capacity, quality and cost improvement projects, focusing on both internal and external manufacturing base.
- Manage stakeholders and set expectations throughout the entire project
- Secure efficient execution of all projects following adequate processes
- Drive and support development and co-development projects.
- Develop, maintain and enforce ink specifications.
Qualifications
You are an open person who actively shares your knowledge with others. Building relations comes easy to you and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues. You are a clear communicator and excel at both spoken and written English.
Your academic background is probably within Chemical Engineering, Material Science or similar. You ideally have solid experience from working with inks/ coatings and good knowledge about printing processes. Practically applied project management and knowledge in lean manufacturing principles are a clear advantage.
