A challenging expert role developing sustainable thin paperboard material requirements
Supply Chain within Packaging Solutions is responsible to handle the materials in supply chain to factories and customers for our packaging solutions of Tetra Pak. Base Material is part the supply chain organization responsible for our different base materials needed to produce materials for our packaging solutions. Paperboard is one of the base materials within Tetra Pak and we have a team of 16 people working specialized with Paperboard within our Base Material organization www.tetrapak.com/se/packaging.
Our Paperboard team is now expanding, and we are looking for a Senior Material Engineer with experience from working with paperboard and thin paper suppliers. You will report directly to Technology Manager Paperboard at Base Materials.
What you will do
Our new “Senior Material Engineer” of paperboard will specialize within “thin papers” and drive development projects and translate requirements from the value chain into technical requirements coming from our development of our packaging materials to meet Tetra Pak´s targets within sustainability. Focus will be to handle requirements towards our suppliers and act as global expert for our converting factories.
You will focus on:
The main purpose of this role is to be our paperboard specialist for thin papers.
You will be a part of a team working with our suppliers and develop the requirements of thin papers.
Drive improvement projects within for thin paper production and drive projects with suppliers.
Support converting factories and development organisations with your thin paper expertise.
Collaborate and work across boundaries with internal and external stakeholders; suppliers, converting factories, market companies etc.
This position is based in Lund, but you will work in a global arena. You will travel around 30% of your time.
Who you are
We are looking for a technical, curious, and analytical person that likes to set requirements and solve technical problems. You are communicative and committed to making sustainable paperboard packaging solutions for the future. To be successful, you collaborate well with others but at the same time you drive your own agenda. You are comfortable to act as an expert within your area of thin papers and present your views towards others. As well you can align and act efficiently towards decisions/directions made.
You probably have a University degree within engineering, preferably with a material specialization.
You have at minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
We see that you have experience of working within paperboard industry and it is a bonus with experience from food packaging industry.
You speak and write fluent English on a professional level, preferably experience of working in an international environment with many different stakeholders
