We are looking for an experienced Senior Material Manager to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Material team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in contribute to building one of the first large-scale European battery factories.
About the job
As an expert on the materials for Li-ion batteries, you will work on developing Cathode, Anode, Electrolyte, Separator, Binder/Conductive materials for EV batteries.
This position requires;
- Passionate action and creative approach.
- Ability to communicate with cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong leadership to manager members of each material team.
- Deep knowledge and experience on each material and based on this, you should be able to develop new materials and ability to guide team members from the technical point of view as well.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Material analysis: Material evaluation in its physicochemical aspects in collaboration with the Quality Control lab.
- Slurry mixing and evaluation: acquiring basic mixing information for successful slurry coating.
- Electrode and Cell fabrication and evaluation: especially coin, pouch cell fabrication including design of a full cell.
- Evaluation items for electrochemical properties and evaluation methods in related material stages.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have :
MSc Degree or above in Material Engineering
8+ years working experience in battery material development
Excellent English is written and oral skills
Bonus points for:
Experience and interest in the manufacturing industry
Fluency in other languages (Japanese, Korean and German)
Experience from a multi-cultural environment
