Senior Material Planner

Northvolt‘s journey started in Västerås, Sweden with Northvolt Labs, a prototyping factory already in operation. The first phase of giga-factory - Northvolt Ett in Skellefteå is being constructed, while further expansion project has already kicked off. We have an awesome job offer for a Senior Supply Planner to join our excellent and passionate team at Northvolt in Skellefteå. As a key player in the Logistics and Planning Team, you will have the opportunity to design and procure a sustainable portfolio of logistics vendors, securing Northvolt’s successful growth in Sweden and beyond.
We are looking for a bald, experienced, and knowledgeable individual to help scale up the Supply Planning organization. As Senior Material Planner you will oversee various aspects of the daily planning operation while contributing to the long-term goals of the organization by driving strategic projects and systems implementation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identify and communicate potential supply risks and collaborate with purchasing, quality, and logistics teams to resolve issues
Supervise the planning and ordering of time-critical materials to support manufacturing and service organizations, while minimizing logistics costs and maintaining optimal inventory levels (avoid both shortages and overages)
Act as point of escalation contact for material concerns, lead daily shortage meetings to ensure supply continuity, report on KPIs (inventory days on hand, line interruptions, expedite costs, etc.), and enforce best practices
Identify and lead process improvement initiatives related to execution and scale-up as improved handover points from purchasing to material planning and from material planning to internal customers, inventory optimization scenarios, analytics, and KPI build-out
Support MRP system implementation

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
A relevant university degree is a merit,
5-8 years experience in Supply Chain Planning- Supply, Demand, Production, MRP, Inventory Management,
Successful track record of maintaining material availability while ramping-up a production line or alternatively in a prototyping environment

Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to prepare and deliver concise understandable information to co-workers, suppliers, and other stakeholders,
Problem-solving, entrepreneurial attitude thriving in a dynamic environment where no day is like the other (we mean it!),
Self-motivated and finding it easy to establish new relationships,
Intermediate user of Microsoft Excel
Worked in multi-cultural environment (A MUST!).
