Join us and be part of the cutting-edge team. We're currently hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join us in Västerås, Sweden, at Motion, Large Motors, and Generators. We design a variety of electric motors, generators, and drive systems. Our work focuses on customer satisfaction, top-quality products, reliability, and energy efficiency.
Your responsibilities
Design Control Cabinets: Lead the design of control cabinets, including hardware and software, for systems that magnetize synchronous motors and generators.
Technical Support: Provide essential technical insights to our sales team, helping solve complex challenges and address inquiries about control cabinets.
Collaborate with Suppliers: Maintain effective communication with our suppliers, managing technical matters and fostering Smooth collaboration.
Motor and Generator Protection: Manage the setup of motor and generator protection systems.
Test Room Evaluation: Work closely with colleagues in the test room to evaluate and validate control cabinets.
Resolve Technical Issues: Play a key role in resolving technical problems with our customers and participate in meetings with them.
Your background
Education: Hold a degree in civil engineering or engineering, with a focus on electrical engineering.
Industry Experience: Have a proven track record in working with electric power systems, cabinet construction, or PLC-based systems.
Problem-Solving Approach: Possess a solution-oriented mindset, always seeking innovative approaches to challenges.
Analytical Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical abilities and sound decision-making skills.
Team Player: Enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and providing assistance when needed.
Communication Skills: Communicate effectively in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

The Large Motors and Generators Division offers a comprehensive product portfolio of large AC motors and generators. From general purpose to highly customized designs, synchronous motors and high voltage induction motors provide high efficiency, reliability and availability across all major industries and applications, including some in the toughest and most demanding environments. The division also has a long track record of designing and building generators for wide range of industries, including power generation, marine, oil and gas, mining, and data centers.
