Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Description
Design technical solutions according to given prerequisites (e.g. function, style, volume, geometry, costs, quality target and regulations) in mechanical areas.
Have operational responsibility for a component or sub-module delivery.
Drive the work from an operational perspective. Have a capacity to work individually or with a small team actively to secure the deliverables.
Lead mechanical design engineering activities in a particular area. Play an active role in the delivery. Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release. Spread knowledge and develop competence within the team.



Personal qualifications
You have experience and knowledge of key systems and processes within Volvo cars. E.g. KDP, Release process and Quality systems
You are structured and well organized.
You have the ability to establish contacts and to collaborate effectively
You have an open attitude and can adopt to changes as they come
You feel comfortable with working on several different tasks simultaneously and can balance your work between them
Fluent in English
