Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

For this position, we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to take the next step in their career and develop within the UAV area. Our products, Skeldar V-150 and V-200, are both UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) platforms developed for the military and civilian market worldwide.

In the position as a Mechanical Design Engineer, the main task is to contribute to the development of mechanical and structural designs on the V-200 platform. Depending on background and interest, there is also an opportunity to take greater technical responsibility in your area of expertise. You will belong to one of our four teams in the development department, which today consists of a total of about 50 employees in different disciplines. The position offers a varied and stimulating work with a high-tech product in an industry that is growing fast. Responsibilities:

- Development of mechanical and structural design including identification of requirements and creating the design definition.
- Select material, manufacturing process and components.
- Release design definition data in the form of drawings, CAD-models and parts lists.
- Identify and propose improvements in functionality, manufacturability, accessibility and customer benefit.
- Participate in conceptual studies in order to define design proposals.
- Participate in selection of supplier.
- Participate in identification of maintenance and repair requirements.
- Support production organization with problem solution of issues in prototype and series production.
- Support flight organization with problem solution of issues that occurs during flight operation.


Qualifications:

- University degree within Mechanical Engineering
- At least five years experience within mechanical design
- Extra meritorious: work life experience from the aviation industry
- Important personal characteristics: Ability to work together, communicative and a self-driven attitude
- Fluent language skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and in writing
