We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced engineer to our R&D systems department in Uppsala. You will be part of a team that develops biotechnology systems and you will mainly develop micro fluidic devices and liquid systems. A successful individual for this position will have the ability to utilize technical knowledge and experience in fluidics and materials, together with strong communication skills, working in close collaboration with manufacturing.
What you’ll do
The position includes active participation in research and development projects; develop micro fluidics and liquid systems, writing requirement specifications, develop product concepts, and supporting service and manufacturing.
The position also involves technical leadership by supporting colleagues in technical matters as well as leading tasks and investigations etc.
Work in a cross functional and agile team together with mechanics, electronics, embedded and optics.
Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar experience.
Practical experience in micro fluidics and mechanical design.
Strong interest and skills in practical laboratory work with knowledge about manufacturing steps and equipment needed to develop and produce micro fluidics.
Experience from work in multidisciplinary environments
Proven ability of planning, executing and evaluating analytical & preparative experiments
Very good communication skills (both written and spoken), including presentation skills
Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
