Your role as Microsoft SQL Server DBA Technical Specialist
The main responsibility is the overall technical responsibility for all our SQL Server environments at the infrastructural and database administrator level and will secure the strategy, development, and implementation of technical roadmaps, deployment process, and quality of delivery.

You will be placed in a dynamic, challenging international environment with opportunities for development, new technologies, and new ways of working and working closely with a cross-functional team of experts. You will have a full overview of our SQL Server infrastructure, propose developments and improvements on our existing services, consider licenses, infrastructure consumption, and capacity management, and Optimize SQL Server patching and automation of standardized deployments. You will document designs and setups, to facilitate knowledge sharing and understanding.

 

Who are we looking for?


• You have relevant academic education and/or equivalent work experience in the area of work.
• Knowledge of management of large MS SQL Server environments, tools, and products.
• A person who has experience working as a database administrator or technical responsible.
• You are curious, responsible, and can take ownership to move our services forward.
• Experience in Agile working methods is a merit
• Fluency in English both oral and written is a must.

 

We
The group Windows, Web & DB platform Development owns and maintains the Managed Services and Platforms used by delivery teams throughout the organization in provisioning of solutions to the Scania business functions. The team office base is in Södertälje but we work mostly “from where we are awesome”. That is within the boundaries of a good sustainable work environment.
