About the AI Enablement Program

The AI Enablement program’s mission is to improve Schibsted’s maturity in successfully applying AI technologies throughout the company. This is done by offering training to boost competence, building a community of practitioners that can learn and inspire each other, guiding and helping brands explore the use of AI in their products, and collaborating with academia and top researchers in relevant fields to develop new technologies that can be used in Schibsted’s products.

About the role

As a Senior ML Engineer Enabler, your primary responsibility will be to enable teams and organisations to set-up AI production capabilities. This includes designing and implementing AI training and deployment infrastructure for both experimentation and infrastructure that is capable of scaling to support larger projects and iterative training.

You will work in a team of data scientists and AI experts with high technical expertise. Working in close collaboration with your team, you will play a key role in developing cutting-edge prototypes that both inspire the organisation but also ensure that the prototypes that are built are robust, scalable, and efficient. The main skill we are looking for is not deep AI knowledge, but a strong engineering background with the ability to learn, evaluate and use useful machine learning libraries and tools.

You will have a high degree of freedom and autonomy in what and how to solve Schibsted's AI problems. If you see a need that you want to solve, do it!

Some examples of what we are currently working on include fine-tuning language models, news personalization, summarization, and prevention of hallucinations. You will work with the most exciting ensemble of products with AI potential in the Nordics/world, including media, marketplaces, delivery, and many more.

Responsibilities:

- Build AI training and deployment infrastructure that works for experimentation and scales to big products and iterative training.
- Enable teams and organisations to set up AI production capabilities.
- Work on cutting-edge prototypes that inspire the organisation.
- Develop prototypes, how-to guides and embed them into teams.
- Help to build and maintain the infrastructure and processes necessary to drive innovation and success in deploying AI in production.

Your Skills & Experience:

- Senior engineer with experience deploying AI models and building ML infrastructure for product teams.
- An enablement mindset: You want to help and mentor others and understand how to connect with people.
- Experience in cloud computing using AWS or GCP and with Kubernetes
- Optional: Ability to work with PyTorch, TensorFlow
- Optional: Experience with distributed model inference and training - knowledge of common libraries, for example, DeepSpeed or Nvidia Megatron
