What’s in it for you?
In the Consumer Digital team, we work in customer-centric product teams to build products that make owning a car better. We work on products and platforms such as Volvo On Call, Connected Car Cloud Platform, Service Booking, Connected Safety, Customer Care Chat, Volvo ID, over-the-air updates, car connectivity, and APIs for building new innovative services.
The team is located in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Lund, Sweden, and we also have teams in the US and in China. Many of the people you will be working with have experience from start-ups and global tech companies such as Spotify, Google, Ericsson, Microsoft, Tradera, Klarna and King.
We are now looking for another Android Developer for the Volvo On Call app. You will be working with a group of skilled people, currently engaged in agile product development for the Volvo On Call Android app.

What you’ll do
You will work in one of the mobile development teams to create great new user experiences for our customers. Your focus will be to greatly enhance and innovate user services that comes as a part of owning a Volvo. This position is located in Volvo’s Software Technology Centre in central Stockholm.
•    Design, build applications for the Android platform and ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
•    Collaborate with other engineers to define, design, and ship new features
•    Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs and help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

You and your skills
We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior Software Engineer with great knowledge of Android, Kotlin and/or Java. You should have: 
•    Clear understanding of Google's Android app design principles
•    Clear understanding of Android SDK and its key components
•    Passion for making delightful user experiences
•    Passion for learning and pushing barriers
•    Passion for writing readable, beautiful code
•    Knowledge of Unit and Integration Testing techniques
