The Koenigsegg Software and Electronics department is responsible for designing, developing software and electronic control units (ECUs) and supporting tools for all Koenigsegg's cars. We are working very closely with the other engineering departments, production and service/aftersales. We are now looking to expand the team with a skilled and experienced software linux engineer with the ability to transform product requirements and production needs to state of the art solutions and also further advance and bring in new technologies into our in-vehicle infotainment system deployed in our cars.
The responsibilities associated with this position put a strong requirement on your ability to cooperate with other departments in other technical domains. The development activities are primarily focused on multimedia embedded systems within the in-vehicle infotainment team.
Responsibilities
- Architect, develop and implement features related to the car multimedia system
- Performance validation and debugging system level issues related to the multimedia system such as audio, video, display, camera, graphics
- Support debugging and root cause analysis related to the infotainment system
- Develop and continuously improve the diagnostic content for the infotainment system
- Support our production and service departments
- Participate in the assessment of the technical design, feasibility concept, and planning
- Work with an agile cross-functional team of hardware engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation, and designers
- Participate in the development of our way of working
Need to have
- Minimum 3 years of relevant, post-graduate, full time, experience
- Proficient in low-level and high-level embedded Linux programming (C & C++)
- Strong understanding in multimedia architecture, multimedia systems and flows both on software and hardware
- Proven expertise in developing features related to at least one of these areas: audio, video, display, camera, graphics
- In-depth understanding of Linux, including OS internals (device drivers, IPC, tools, libraries, etc.)
- Experience with Agile development process (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Jira, CI/CD)
- Desire and ability to work in a multi-tasking and highly dynamic environment
- High standards for code quality, maintainability, and performance
- Fluency in English
Meritorious
- Experience in troubleshooting automotive electrical systems
- Experience working with CAN bus protocols
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash
- Experience in RTOS, QNX is a merit
- Experience in ISO26262 is a merit
- Experience in hardware design
- Willingness to learn new technologies
