Job Description
The Store Stock Moves product team currently consists of 10 persons including a Product Owner, Business Expert and Software Engineers with technical skills in mobile application development.As a Software Engineer you will join this product team with focus on the design and development of applications and back-end solution in Azure cloud. In addition, you will support solving complex incidents as well as architecting new solutions.
The mission of the Store Stock Moves product team is to optimize product availability by moving store stock to the right place and right time considering both sustainability and our customers’ needs. Store staff find our solutions as automated as possible and where not possible, they are intuitive and fun to use.
Our primary stakeholders are store staff using our applications available to them on handheld devices attached to an RFID Reader sled. Our applications read bar codes or RFID tags on our price tags. Combined with other functions, our applications support the store staff to prepare, execute, pack and track the movement of items from the store to other locations.
As a developer, you will support changes to the applications and back-end to increase functionality, improve user experience, increase store efficiency and make more maintainable. One of the big initiatives you will be part of is the enhancement of our applications to be compatible with new devices, most urgently the Android One device and a new RFID sled.
Your Azure experience is a key competence needed to design, plan and together with the product team, execute the roadmap for cloudification of our solutions. This will help us build the future features and refactoring that will empower the users in stores to perform their tasks smoothly with up-to-date modern tools. You will also be key in transforming integrations from current publish-subscribe to API-based.
You will be an internal champion of the Store Stock Move products and where needed, help others to understand our solutions and the impact of changes that may cross other teams and be part of broader initiatives.
You will be a senior developer which means that you have good knowledge of the full Microsoft stack.You will assist other team members where needed in the code and development of solutions and in the troubleshooting of issues beyond the first 3 levels of support. You will be creative with solution ideas and where needed do some research and investigations with internal and external teams.
Qualifications
In order to succeed in the role you need to be on top of our product' tech stack and wow:
Full Stack Developer
At least 5 years work experience as a .NET developer
Azure cloud development
C#
Mobile Android app development using Xamarin (ideally, or similar app framework)
Message Queuing (MSMQ, WMQ, Service Bus)
SQL Server including queries and stored procedures
Visual Studio
Azure DevOps, continuous integration, unit test, Azure, integration (publish-subscribe, API-based)
Agile development using Scrum
