Senior Network Technician

Job description
Randstad Technologies is now looking for a Senior Network Technician to join our client’s IT Operations team. Our client is the global leader in mobile Internet connectivity for public transport.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Network Technician you will be working closely with another colleague that also specializes in networks. You are, together with your colleagues, responsible for developing and maintaining our networks that currently serve large amounts of data traffic every day. This means that there is a lot of responsibility on your shoulders, but you won’t be doing this alone. You will be surrounded by a great and tight team that work together to achieve great results as a unit. We have a great team-spirit in our department and look forward to a new colleague that wants to add to that! You will report to Jonatan, a leader that emphasizes close cooperation and open communication based on trust and mutual understanding. 

Qualifications
We believe you are passionate about networking and have a great drive to learn more every day. You always do your best and support your colleagues whenever they need it. In a similar way, they will support you. As our networks need to run smoothly 24/7/365 we sometimes need to work late evenings, nights or even weekends to make that happen. We expect you to feel comfortable with that commitment to our clients and the end-users travelling onboard their vehicles. 

requirements.
Technical Education within networking or computer science at a post-secondary level (Swedish: eftergymnasial)
Excellent understanding of Routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), switching, troubleshooting, VPN (OpenVPN IPsec)
3+ years of experience from a similar role
Previous experience working in Linux environments
Good communication skills
Speak and write fluently in English

desired experience.
Certifications within networking such as CCNP
IP Registers such as RIPE & ARIN
Firewalls and security policies
AWS and/or VMware
Swedish language skills
