Senior Operational Buyer

ValueOne is looking for a Senior Operational Buyer for a six month assignment at a manufacturing company in Gothenburg. The assignment is to start in February.

The role  

This is a challenging and developing role where you work together with a procurement team located in Europe and China, together with stakeholders such as R&D, Strategy & Business, Manufacturing & Logistics. The team is responsible for procurement of all production materials to the company´s plants in Europe and in Asia. You will be responsible for your deliveries and deadlines. Additionally, you will be encouraged to take on tasks outside of your main areas of responsibility in order to broaden your personal skills and advance your development.

Main tasks:

Drive and develop the purchasing work within your area of responsibility
Identify and implement cost reductions.
Be the first point of supplier contact.
Conduct market benchmark and supplier evaluations.
Lead and perform commercial negotiations.
Cooperate with internal customers
Manage ordering and agreements etc.

Experience and competencies   

We are looking for commercial and result driven operational buyer with Business or Technical University degree (or equivalent) and 2-5 years of experience from commercial and/or engineering work, including negotiations and legal knowledge. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English is a requirement.

To be successful in this role a strong business acumen combined with high integrity is essential. You must be able to prioritize your own work and have the ability to handle parallel projects. You are a person who likes challenges and is focused on setting and reaching goals as well as delivery on time.
