About the job We are looking for a software engineer / developer to join one of the Cross Functional Teams within the Swedbank AB Accounting and Financial Services value stream, which is part of the BIO Group Functions at CFO Office. The team has an ambitious agenda with a roadmap for the next coming years, supporting Swedbank within a number of strategic initiatives within the investment banking and payments area, as well as undergoing a technological transformation together with Group Finance.

In the position as software engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the team with development activities, architectural decisions as well as maintenance tasks within the Swedbank AB accounting area.

In the role you will be responsible for:

Delivering high quality development work
Day to day design decisions
Supporting and quality assuring the key parts of design work and business analysts requirement work (typically ad-hoc architectural questions discovered in-flight)
Contributing to the development process and CI/CD
Assisting in maintenance process
Working together with Value Stream Architect towards target architecture
Being part of and ensuring that we produce architecture descriptions for investment opportunities within the team
Escalating architectural issues to value stream architect when necessary
Active participation in key initiatives with large architectural impact
Review of relevant peer architecture descriptions
Keeping up to date regarding the banking standards by attending architect forums for the value stream
What you need to succeed Solid technical background

MSc or similar in Engineering
Solid database experience (Oracle/Unix)
Experience in financial accounting applications

Oracle General Ledger / Financials
Oracle Financial Accounting Hub
Personality

Enjoys complex problem solving
Some interest in financial instruments and banking
