Continuing to invest in a sustainable future, Mölnlycke is now hiring a Senior Packaging Developer to our Wound Care Material, Packaging and Artwork R&D team, situated at our global HQ in Gothenburg. The purpose of the position is to lead development and implementation of new packaging solutions and/or design changes of existing packaging solutions in order to meet customer needs and/or to secure supply, compliance and competitiveness.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Project
Drive and execute packaging material and design projects
Work in projects where you will plan, develop, deliver and document packaging and packaging material solutions.
Accountable to deliver in assigned design control roles for development and change projects
Line
Responsible to ensure packaging documentation is up to date and compliant
Responsible for maintaining and developing knowledge of packaging materials
Secure supply for existing packaging solutions by working with internal partners and material suppliers
Suggesting continuous improvements such as processes, work instructions and ways of working
Coaching of Packaging developers in the team
Represent Mölnlycke Health Care and lead technical aspects during discussions and negotiations with appointed suppliers. Act as a speaking partner to procurement and SQA in packaging issues.
CAPABILITIES; QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Capabilities
Deep technical understanding of Medical Device R&D, preferably packaging R&D
Deep knowledge of Sterile barriers materials (mainly flexible films and paper) and design
Knowledge on sterile barrier process ability
Knowledge of Global Regulatory Requirements and standards related to the medical device packaging.
Understanding of customer and end user needs, including market insight
Deep knowledge in QMS and Design control
Communication skills
Fluent English written and spoken
Assigned business area knowledge and general business acumen
Qualifications and Experience
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or life science or equivalent
Experience within packaging development, preferably from Med Tech or other similar industry, i.e. Pharma, Food industry etcetera
Experience from product development/ R&D
Strong documentation skills
Experience from LCA work is a merit
