Senior Planning Engineer

Main Duties / Responsibilities: Project Services provide the Project Manager with the tools to monitor and control a project's costs, schedule, procurement and sub-contract activities.It also provides management with independent, check-and-balance reporting on the projects cost and schedule performance, to allow senior management monitoring and intervention where necessary.- Ensure that Company and Partnership policies / procedures relating to the Planning function are fully understood and adhered to and that any changes are communicated to relevant staff.- Carry out regular performance assessments of personnel in his/her own group.- Fully participate in Interactive Planning sessions and facilitate such sessions when required.- In conjunction with the Project Manager(s) is responsible for developing detailed work schedules for all project phases, from project concept to completion.- Carry out schedule risk analysis.- Monitoring, reporting, and forecasting of resource usage, resource requirements, analysis, updating and modifying the schedule.- Carry out detailed Engineering and Construction progress measurement where appropriate.- Review and approve project schedules produced by others.- Participate in monthly project reviews.- Support Project Services Manager in continuous performance improvement activities.- Responsible for project planning systems, including specification, software development, implementation, documentation and maintenance as required.- Actively participates in company HSE initiatives Experience/Personal profile: Must be fully proficient in the use of Primavera Project Planner (P3) and MSProject.Must have relevant planning experience in the Petrochemical industry, both in the design office and in the field, will ideally also have experience of a multiple, concurrent project environment.
