Senior Platform Engineer

Lifesum is growing, and the engineering team is no exception, which is why we're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to dive into a multitude of complex, technical projects. Responsibilities and what you will do

As a platform engineer, you will:

- Architect, build, and maintain services that power our mobile apps and key product features
- Give and receive regular feedback through code review of pull requests
- Help develop strategies to contain and replace legacy components over time
- Actively find ways to make the team better, including regularly sharing knowledge around pieces you own or discover


Are you the one we're looking for?

To be successful in this position, we think that you have:

- Worked for at least five years developing Python services
- An idiomatic Python style
- Transformed legacy codebases over time
- Good technical writing skills
- Knowledge of HTTP and common database offerings
- Knowledge about Python microservices and containerized infrastructure
- Worked with the core AWS offering
- Bonus: experience with natural language processing (NLP) or mobile development (iOS or Android) is a big plus


Python will be your best friend in this position, but we would love it if you have worked with other languages as well. Since the team is small, you will have great opportunities to make a significant impact in your work, so we believe that a proactive attitude and a drive to "pick up the ball and run with it" will ensure your success here at Lifesum.
