Modis Life Science is now looking for a Senior Process Engineer for a consultancy assignment at a Life Science company in Södertälje. The consultancy assignment is initially for 6 months with the possibility of extension. For the right person there is also a chance of being recruited directly to the company.
About the customer:
The customer is a Project Management and Engineering Company serving industry around the world for 40 years. The company has successfull partnerships with clients, providing them with innovative designs and cost effective solutions in the context of sound judgment, strong management and technical excellence. The customer provides Full Service Engineering for clients including Project and Programme Management, Procurement, Design, Construction Management, Health & Safety Management, Commissioning, Qualification and Start-up on numerous projects across a range of market sectors. Our Main market sectors are; Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology, Medical Technologies, Oil and Gas, Advanced Technology, Science & Education, Food & Beverage and Energy.
Key responsibilities:
The department operates as part of a multi-disciplinary team, which handles client needs in the following areas: architectural, process, HVAC, mechanical, electrical/instrumentation, automation, commissioning, validation and construction management services.
The Process Engineer will work on projects in the following areas;
• Drug Substance Upstream and downstream
• Sterile Fill Finish
• Bulk API
• Oral Solid Dosage
• Medical Device Manufacture
The Senior Process Engineer will need to be able to perform activities that include, but are not limited to:
• Bring designs from concept development right through detailed design to construction and commissioning
• Assessing / scoping new project requirements
• Develop process drawings such as PFDs, P&IDs, material and personnel flows, GMP zoning and ATEX hazardous area drawings
• Lead the process of mass balance / flow calculations
• Attend and contribute to cGMP, risk assessments and design reviews
• Perform hydraulic and equipment sizing calculations
• Competent in performing technical checking of other engineers´ deliverables
• To develop, organise and control programmes to eliminate existing or potential process/engineering problems and deliver plant improvements
• Provide technical backup to the operations teams in resolving complex process/plant problems
Required Skills & Experience
• A higher technical degree, major in Industrial, process or chemical engineering
• 7+ years of relevant and successful experience in an environment with pharmaceutical engineering
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytic, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Advanced MS office computer skills
• Advanced time management and organisational skills
• Leadership skills, with a view to managing people
• It is important that you can participate in project engineering activities
• You have the following competences, result- and internal customer-oriented, communication skills, listening and ability to work in a multi-disciplined team.
• Flexibility required in terms of travelling to Ireland and abroad
• Technical Swedish language skills a benefit
• Technical English language skills required
