Senior Process/Project Engineer

Who you are

As a Senior Project Engineer at Alfa Laval, or as we call it Process Engineer, you will be part of our nice project organisation delivering separator systems to global Life Science customers.

You will be responsible for the design of process equipment for our separator systems according to customer requirements. To succeed we believe that you have some years of experience working with technical projects delivering process equipment to the European life science industry.

About the job

You will work close together with the sales team, lead engineers and project managers to generate functional descriptions, main equipment lists, software design specifications (SDS) and P&ID´s. In cooperation with the team, you will execute engineering activities for appointed projects including Line size calculations and specification of components and instruments (e.g. pumps, flow meters and turbidity meters).

This position is based in Tumba and there will be a great opportunity to shape the role.

Some other tasks:
* In collaboration with the project manager, verify that the designed functionality is according to User Requirements Specifications (URS).
* Participate in external meetings with customers to discuss and clarify process issues and engineering activities.
* Support test engineers and assist in troubleshooting when needed.
* Act as an expert and advisor in fluid dynamics. Check quality and help to resolve problems.

What you know

To succeed in this role you have an Engineering degree, preferably within Mechanical engineering and several years of experience working with technical customer projects delivering to the life science industry.

You have an understanding within several engineering disciplines: mechanical, electrical and automation.

You are an expert on process equipment.

You have experience from applicable standards and regulations, e.g. machinery directive and ASME BPE.

You are fluent in English, both written and spoken. Swedish would be a merit.
