Main responsibilities
In this position you will manage the design, concept making, prototyping, and testing of new products based on customer needs and input and ensure they meet the guidelines for standards and functionality. Your major duties/responsibilities will be:

- Designing and conceptualizing new products

- Develop and review design prototypes, perform test and finalize product design to facilitate mass production with extensive use of modern design tools

- Perform engineering and quality analysis of designs and prototypes

- Identify potential suppliers

- Independently lead international projects and project teams

- Visiting suppliers, customers and research institutes

Qualifications
To be successful we believe you have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering and at least 10 years of experience from mechanical design and concept development. You have experience from mechanical products with moving parts. Knowledge in requirements management, design validation and robust design will be highly valuable as well as knowledge about function, modular and standardization methodologies and manufacturing techniques. You have proven experience from systematic project management both in design and industrialization. High level of proficiency in virtual project platforms such as Teams, MS Project etc. is a must. Experience in working in international projects and platforms is a merit

You are analytic and structured, acting with a high personal drive. You also possess leadership competence, with the ambition and ability to lead a team of designers. You are a team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. Communication skills and the ability to adjust to changes as well as to different persons are important as you will be working cross functional with different projects and nationalities.
