The Data Cluster is a part of the Global Omni-Channel Experience (GOX) area, and our mission is to enable a decentralized data culture that allows all our experience teams and analysts to easily use and access data to provide personalized experiences and make data-driven decisions. What you will do
We are looking for a talented Senior Product Manager in our Data cluster that can help us in our journey of enabling a more data-driven culture in our software products. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with data products, working with ambiguity, and a strong passion for data-driven product development.
If you are passionate about enabling teams to better manage their data as an asset and become data-driven, this role is perfect for you. We work across the company to facilitate the creation and usage of data products to deliver maximum customer value.
In this role, you will work closely with the central platform teams, business, and other product teams to understand how they can better produce and consume data products to deliver value to our customers. The role is currently focused on setting the foundations of how we work with data products across the company meaning you can have a big impact on the data culture at Volvo Cars.
* Set the data vision and strategy for one or more data domains based on an understanding of business and user needs
* Treat data as product, making sure it is easy to discover, understand, trust and use.
* Work closely with other teams at Volvo Cars and a skilled team of engineers to define a roadmap to ensure data products meets current business needs and unlocks new opportunities
* Create, communicate and own the long-term roadmap for your domain
* Understand your users' needs and have a passion to help them get the most value out of data
* Partner with central platform teams to drive the future data platform requirements for your domain
* Use data to inform critical business decisions
* Establish a strong network across Volvo Cars to ensure there’s an aligned data strategy across multiple domains
Who are you?
* You are an experienced product manager with a data-driven mindset with previous experience building and setting vision and strategies for products, preferably in the data domain
* You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, that can communicate concepts and ideas in different formats and to different audiences to help drive the right decisions based on data
* You believe that failing fast is a competency to master, not a mistake to hide
* You are highly collaborative and understand that building great products is a team sport
* You have experience crafting clear product requirements based on research, data and insights
* You know how to take end-to-end responsibility for the product’s success, and you use data to guide your decisions
* You enjoy fast-paced, dynamic work environment and are passionate about solving hard, complicated problems
