What you will do
You will further develop, lead and own the Volvo Groups’ Electromobility product, platform and feature strategy and roadmap. By monitoring the global technology trends and the supplier base as well as by defining and coordinating benchmark activities, you will secure that Volvo Group Electromobility stays at the forefront of technology development.
You will manage the product portfolio and define necessary Advanced Engineering activities securing future technology steps. Furthermore you will be responsible to translate customer and stakeholder requests into platform and product requirements. By initiating and driving business case evaluations, you will govern and secure a competitive product platform. This includes also to identify and secure synergies between requests across Volvo Group. 
Additionally you will align the product roadmap cross-functional in the group. As main Electromobility contact to Group Truck Purchasing you will synchronize the purchasing strategy for complete solutions.            

Responsibilities:
•    Collect, challenge, align and approve technology roadmaps from Electromobility tech teams.
•    Further develop, lead and own the product, platform and feature strategy and roadmap for your Electromobility product area.
•    Monitor market and technology trends related to Electromobility incl. participation at external conferences and exhibitions. 
Present Electromobility at conferences and exhibitions.
•    Regular internal reporting on market and technology trends
•    Lead depth of engagement analysis for Electromobility products and services. Approve make/ buy decisions for EMOB products.
•    Request and contribute to continuous supplier screening for off-the-shelve solutions. Approve component RFI’s towards suppliers to ensure it is aligned with component roadmap/strategy.
•    Scout and identify potential technology partners for Volvo Group Electromobility.
•    Translate customer requests into product/project pre-requisites as well as measurable high-level technical requirements. Fill and maintain them in EMOB requirements tool.
•    Prepare and provide pre-study target descriptions.
•    Review, contribute and approve requirements balancing during pre-study work.

Your future team
You will belong to the Technology Strategy and Planning function, Product and Range Management section. We drive and are responsible for the product strategies and roadmap, as well as to manage the Electromobility product and project portfolio. 
The team is also responsible to collect and manage stakeholder requirements and secure synergies across all of Volvo Group’s electric products, such as Buses, Trucks, Construction equipment, Marine and Industrial applications.

Who are you?
You are an expert in the field of electromobility solutions in the automotive industry. We believe that to be successful in this position you need to be a communicative networker, have a strategic and analytic mindset with the ability to generate ideas and have a can-do attitude. We also believe that you have a strong drive to realize best-in-class electromobility product range, the ability to initiate change and decide on facts. You are also well organized and structured with the ability to drive things to completion, and you are actively striving to spread your product knowledge and expertise to others. 
You also have:
•    University degree in electrical engineering or electronics development
•    Min. 10 y experience in electrical or automotive engineering
•    Economy / business background (ROI analysis, investment strategies, etc.)
•    Product planning and product strategy experience
•    Dedicated know-how and technology trends knowledge in 2-3 of the following electromobility engineering areas:
*   Batteries
* Cell technology
* High Voltage components and power distribution
* Electronics & Controls
* E-drive systems
* Charging systems
* System integration
* Regulations & homologation
* Cross functional stakeholder management and high communication skills
* Proven senior leadership skills (leading in a matrix organization)
* Commercial vehicle application know-how & understanding of end customer demands
