We are looking for a Senior Product Manager for ÄKTATM chromatography systems. ÄKTA lab-scale protein purification systems are designed for purification of biomolecules for research and process development and are used by over 100 000 scientists all over the world. The Product Management function is a bridge between the commercial and back office functions (e. g. R&D, supply chain and marketing) and the owner of the overall business, and as such it drives the strategy deployment of all stakeholder functions. Product managers are accountable for the designated range of products and to ensure that they meet customer expectations on functionality, quality and product supply, while meeting the business expectations of the company. As a senior product manager you will also identify, initiate and be the business owner for new product development and future ÄKTA products. You will provide insight of commercial and technical aspects and provide multi-functional leadership of non-direct teams.
What You'll Do
Product management of lab ÄKTA products intended for research and process development. You will be part of a highly competent and engaged team of product managers and product strategy manager based in Uppsala.
Business responsible for new product development projects
Represent “voice of the customer” for your products inside Cytiva, making sure quality and customer needs are prioritized.
Develop and drive the product life cycle strategy for your portfolio, including pricing, margin optimization and recommendations of development to keep the portfolio vital, profitable and competitive.
Through close collaboration with commercial teams and supply chain ensure efficient forecasting and supply of products in line with market needs.
Support the commercial organization with product training, marketing material and sales tools.
Who you are
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Science, Biotechnology, or a related field
Long term working experience in a Life Science based business with roles in product marketing, product development or related.
Proven leadership capabilities, e.g as product/project/program manager, with a strong ability to inspire and engage, create context and take the lead.
Experience from direct interaction with customers, within pharma or biotech. Strong ability to understand customer needs within research and process development and how the company can help meet these.
A strong interest in both technical and commercial aspects
Proven ability to work in a global environment, ability to travel globally.
Excellent oral and written communications skills. Presents and communicates with impact, simplifies complex information and data and communicates the information clearly across all levels of the company.
