Senior Product Owner
LEEROY is at an exciting stage right now. Our product suite for restaurant chains has a great product-market fit and as a result, we are signing and onboarding customers at an accelerating speed in all four Nordic countries. Our Turnkey solution, which consists of a range of technologies, help our customers to understand and direct their businesses to further success. The product we build at Leeroy is, at its heart, a tool for handling information and making it useful in day to day decisions to longer-term strategic decisions for the restaurateurs. This is the domain in which we are looking for a new member of the team. We are looking for a Senior Product Owner (PO) to lead the teams:
- Central chain management - Design your restaurant products so they can be sold online/in-store and manage your entire restaurant chain from one central web GUI (hint: it’s pretty complex)
- Business Insights - Understand your business by analysing what happens during and after your products have been sold, to improve everything from running the store and sales to customer loyalty and how to design a new menu for next week
General description
Through excellence in planning, prioritization, and leadership, the Product Owner (PO), who works closely with the team, is a champion for building the right thing. The PO is responsible for the vision of how we best manage the complex processes of configuring the customer’s products and ensure that the customer can follow up on their business by analysing and understanding trends in the data.
The PO owns the vision and represents it in the daily work of prioritizing and breaking down the long-term direction into actionable increments here and now.
The Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Development Team(s). How this is done may vary widely across organizations, Scrum Teams, and individuals. The Product Owner is the sole person responsible for managing the Product Backlog. Product Backlog management includes:
- Clearly expressing Product Backlog items.
- Ordering the items in the Product Backlog to best achieve goals and missions.
- Optimizing the value of the work the Development Team performs.
- Ensuring that the Product Backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Scrum Team will work on next.
- Ensuring the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed.
About the Job
As the Product Owner for the Product core teams, you are responsible for the information management of products sold and the subsequent follow up on the information collected around the process of preparing and selling the products in the restaurants. The web GUI used to create information and analyse the process is designed for the customer, hence UX and a clear opinionated way of running the business are key aspects to success for both LEEROY and the customer.
You will collaborate with all the Product Owners in the organization and as they are depending on the core information you need to understand and support their missions as they are stakeholders/customers.
You would be working out of our Sundsvall offices (we have an office in Stockholm as well and you would travel a few times but not often).
We truly believe in teamwork and in moving the information to where the decisions are made (in the product teams). You will have a large degree of freedom within your mission and you will be expected to help with our continuous growth as a strong product organization, by being proactive and constantly challenging the way we do things.
Your qualifications
You are a senior leader. In the past years, you have been responsible for coordinating, delegating and prioritizing work for agile teams to achieve business value in small increments. As a person, you like being the coordinator, the spider in the web that balances stakeholder needs with prioritized business goals. You can say no and you do it backed by insights, data and a well-groomed and prepared backlog for the mission(s). Doing the right things in the right order is your priority and you handle this process with panache.
Understanding the customer and always considering their experience is natural to you, the customer is the sole purpose for the existence of the product. You cherish every moment you get to spend with the customers to understand what problems they face.
You care for the teams you work with and you have leadership skills to help you challenge and motivate the teams (even if you do not have direct management responsibilities, people will follow you).
