Northvolt has an exciting job offer for a Senior Production Manager to join our Skellefteå team.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of large-scale European battery factories. As a Senior Production Manager you will be responsible for setting, follow up and taking actions on strategy and objectives for Downstream production. Recruit, train, develop and organize the manufacturing team. Plan, direct, and monitor all production activities within Downstream to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules; safety, quality, volume, cost, efficiency and people. Stand in for Senior Director Manufacturing when needed.
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement manufacturing schedules and procedures and allocate labor and capital resources to maximize productivity.
Analyze production and malfunction records to identify problems and drive solutions (for example changes to procedures, workflow, equipment or layouts) that will improve performance.
Liaise (lead a local management team) with functional or operational area managers (for example planning, logistics, HR, maintenance, technology, quality, HSE) and together understand current and future needs and develop plans, cost estimates, and schedules for integrating these needs into existing manufacturing activities.
Together with maintenance, plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtimes to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.
Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of managers who are responsible for various production activities.
Has full managerial responsibility for multiple teams/departments. Work is normally carried out in an indirect manner (as 'grandparent') and by setting organizational strategy and objectives as well as follow up.
Recruit, train and develop individuals and teams.
Accountable for developing new methods, tools and processes. Responsible for implementation and sharing of best practices.
Ensure adherence to Northvolt Code of Conduct, applicable legislation and established policies and guidelines within area of responsibility.
Accountable for environment, health and safety as per local legislation, policies etc. Physical area of responsibility according to H&S layout.
Identifies and resolves complex technical, operational and/or organizational problems.
Requirements
Qualifications/education/experience
Master of science in mechanical/industrial engineering
Proven Leadership in large Manufacturing Organizations (100+ people)
Experience in modern Operations Management principles: Lean, Six Sigma, etc
Documented leadership training
