The senior project controller's main responsibility is to be the CFO of the project, meaning forecasting, analyzing and reporting of the project financials (costs, revenues, margin, cash flow) and make improvement suggestions, but also make sure the financial aspects are always on the agenda and considered by the project manager and the whole project team.
What will you do?
Being responsible for all the financial aspects of a project and ensuring the financial information aligns to the latest project schedule.
Leading the work to compile the total project calculation, taking input from the other team members and other data into account, making sure all known information are taken into consideration.
Challenge the input to make sure the forecasted costs are realistic.
Leading the work to time phase remaining costs and cash flow in the project = creating periodical forecasts.
Support the PM to understand big drivers of costs/revenue and cash flow and how the forecast can be achieved.
Analyzing and understanding periodical deviations in revenues and cash and communicate this to the PM, project team and management.
Understand the client's contract, as well as major supplier's POs, to raise the flag for any potential claims, or change orders.
Making sure internal policies and accounting rules are being followed in the project.
Build and implement the early warning indicators within the project, and communicate them to the project team and management, to take preemptive actions to mitigate any potential losses.
Working close to site to understand the cost drivers, site related budget and variation orders
Preparing monthly calculation of project accruals.
Working close with Linxon ́s financial service center and local Finance-team
Be on site regularly, at least once a week.
Experience, Education and other Required:
Master's or bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting and/or engineering
Minimum ten years of project controlling experience.
Minimum 5 years' experience from EPC-business.
Experienced in Planning and Forecasting
Experienced in Risk Management
Experience in reading & understanding contract documents.
Experience of being an informal leader and from having a role where you need to influence others.
