Would you like to be a part of the exciting journey into the future of the commercial vehicles’ business? We are now gearing up our plant to meet the rapidly changing demand in the transport industry.
We are looking for a Senior Project Controller for some of our large investment projects at the Skövde plant. The Senior Project controller will be a central part of our major projects and contribute to the success of our transformation journey.
The production plant in Skövde is the biggest powertrain plant in the Volvo Group with 3500 employees, and covers everything from casting, machining, assembly, logistics to high end manufacturing engineering. We aim to be the no 1 provider of propulsion solutions within Volvo Group, including electromobility solutions.
Main Tasks
The Senior Project Controller will work in several large investment projects and will be a key member in respective project team. The project controller works directly with the project managers and reports to the plant Director Business Control.
You will advise and monitor various financial aspects of the projects. You will help define each project’s objective, create, and manage the projects’ budgets and schedules, analyze progress reported against the work schedules, and recommend actions to improve progress. You will also support the plant quarterly financial forecast process with updated knowledge of the projects and its budgets.
Other tasks
Monthly controlling/monitoring and reporting of actual costs in a project
Ensures all related local project reporting and controlling activities.
Support with month-end closing activities with regards to project follow up.
Ensure alignment with overall project financial plan
Evaluate financial implications of various decisions and recommend suitable actions
Support the team to identify risks and initiate risk mitigation actions
Calculate make/buy business cases if need arises
Your Competences and Behaviors
You have a university degree within the finance area and a solid experience from industrial controlling or you could have a degree within engineering with an interest in finance and driving projects.
You have good knowledge of the rules and ways of working with capital expenditures.
Your experience has provided you strong leadership and management skills with ability to execute changes
You contribute with your positive, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset, as well as with your ability to create a good atmosphere while keeping the team motivated and engaged to deliver high level performance.
You have solid and successful experience from networking effectively through a diverse contact base and building enduring relationships across functional and geographical areas.
As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken, is required.
