As our Senior Project Manager, you will be a member of the Operating Unit, Network Control in Västerås, offering a complete program of SCADA solutions for utilities, industries, and other power systems customers. It is an exciting and dynamic role with close collaboration with different parts of our organization and the chance to extend your network within Hitachi ABB Power Grids globally.
Your responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, your main mission will be to plan, monitor and control project activities proactively to maximize business success.
You will be responsible for the planning of time as well as resources, risk and opportunity management, and reporting.
Ensure customer satisfaction goals are met for the project while proactively striving for improvements and excellence.
While making sure that agreed time, budget and quality are met, you have a valid Project Safety Plan in place.
You work proactively to set customer expectations to assure a smooth project flow, including timely acceptance of deliveries and payment even under challenging circumstances.
As your work tasks include close collaboration with other units, business partners and customers both locally and internationally, business trips will be a normal part of your work.

Your background
You are an analytical leader and a team player with an independent and result oriented working style while having good communicative and collaborative skills.
You hold a university degree in Electrical Engineering or in similar field, having several years of work experience as project manager.
Proven experience with projects of different size, complexity and contractual type.
PMP® certification from Project Management Institute or relevant certifications from other institutions are advantageous.
Your experience in a multicultural environment and high degree of inter-cultural sensitivity help you coach, motivate, and empower your team members by influence.
Your customer-focuses, flexibility and strategic thinking help you handle both ups and downs and manage both strategic and operative assignments.
As you will be working in a global, multicultural environment, fluency in English, written and spoken alike, is required.
