What you will be a part of

Saab Product Unit Countermeasures and Aircraft Systems (PU CAS) develops and manufactures qualified electronics, mechanics and software for various aircraft and helicopter applications. PU CAS forms part of Business Unit Electronic Warfare and Aircraft Systems in the Surveillance Business Area of Saab.



Our task within aircraft systems domain is to give the aerospace industry the systems they need to meet the challenges of safe, sustainable and efficient aviation. We develop safety critical aircraft and avionics systems such as computers, actuation systems, safety and awareness systems and fiber optic sensor systems for demanding environments for aircraft, helicopters and UAVs.

This position is within the Contracts and Projects Office responsible for Fiber Optic Sensor Systems contracts and projects here at the Saab Huskvarna offices.



Your role

As a Project Manager your main task will be to act as contract responsible to manage and execute customer and R&D development projects. Our customers include various international system integrators and Aircraft OEMs.

The successful incumbent for this challenging position will be responsible for:

* Management of Project activities (Customer and/or R&D development)
* Develop and maintain a project management plan and aggregate project plans
* Satisfy contract execution objectives, utilizing resources effectively over the full lifecycle
* Contribute towards the improvement and conformity of output against laid down norms and standards
* Risk and Opportunity identification, assessment and mitigation
* Reporting project status to the Project Steering Committees.



Your Profile

This opportunity requires a highly motivated team player with excellent management and leadership skills, organizational skills, initiative and interpersonal skills as well as a relentless drive to ensure customer commitments are kept.



You have an appropriate professional or postgraduate qualification in a business or technical oriented area B. Sc. /M.Sc and several years of project management of development project experience in the field of Airborne Systems.



A working knowledge of safety critical development process (eg. RTCA DO 178/254) shall be advantageous. You have a strong business understanding, customer focus and ability to work in an international environment. Further, you have proven ability to take decisions to improve profitability and project execution for the total product lifecycle, and have an interest in leading, developing and challenging the organization and its employees. You have skills to combine strategic thinking with operational actions.



This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
