Main Duties & Responsibilities:

The role is for a Senior Project Manager within R&D IT - an outstanding organization at the forefront of the technology revolution in healthcare aligned to the Machine Learning and Deep Learning delivery, part of a wider AI Engineering Platform team. The ambition for this Platform is huge. We are looking for data, AI, technology and project management experts to join R&D IT that will ensure this ambition is met.



The engineers and architects in the AI Engineering Platform team are key to continuously deliver and support this critical capability. We operate as a single global team with shared responsibilities. You will be joining an agile and hardworking team of technologists who share excitement for the delivery of data and analytics solutions and their application in science to change the life of patients. Living and breathing technology is a key factor to enable us to keep pace with the life changing ideas of the scientists.



As a Senior IT Project Manager aligned to the AI Engineering Platform Team, you will ensure delivery aligns to the vision and business strategy, and that true business value is delivered to the customer as a result. Having a strong partnership with the business customer driving the demand for the solution is critical to success in this role.



The role views process as guidance and looks for innovative means to expedite delivery. You must ensure that delivery occurs with a sense of urgency and can be completed within the approved platform/programme/project budget and timelines, whilst continuously assessing risk and balancing the need for flexibility and agility with conformance to standard methods and tools. Focus areas include stakeholder management across Business, IT, and partners, risk management and delivery of business benefit.



Experience in the following areas will be key:

· Previous accountability for delivering large projects/programmes with in-house resourced teams with budgets (>$10m)

· Demonstrated IT Programme Management experience, ideally in a Pharmaceutical environment with experience of GxP and validation

· Blue-chip or multinational company experience

· Proven project and programme management skills in delivering, leading and controlling large projects /programmes (managing plans, budgets and forecasts, tasks, risks and issues, change management and status reporting to support effective decisions and project reporting to stakeholders and review boards)

· Able to chair and facilitate Executive level Steering meetings, presenting to influence and inform at Senior board level

· Agile delivery experience including driving the planning and developing complex plans across multiple delivery teams, including working with engineering teams taking solutions into production and through Acceptance to Service processes

· Benefits identification and delivery management - defining value prior to delivery and tracking post delivery

· Development of IT quality documentation management and delivery to quality standards (experience in regulatory IT audits and GxP system delivery preferred but not essential)

· Experience of negotiating and working with external vendors and onshore and offshore suppliers
