Senior project manager for international EU projects

Your role

Saab Aeronautics is expanding and is moving to a more international position within Europe. A new organization has been created with the mission to understand and position Saab as a trustful and collaborative partner in EU funded research and development projects. We build strategic competences within prioritized technology areas and execute EU funded projects. We are now looking for two new members to strengthen our senior project manager team to take on new exciting projects.

The senior project managers are responsible to for all Saab commitments but also expected to support the coordinator and partners as necessary.

The first project is a feasibility study focusing on a new aircraft, with preliminary conceptual design, technology and business case development . The goal of the project is to have all necessary decision documentation for European member states to evaluate the possibility of launching next study phase or a complete program. Saab participation is divided on across five work packages which are to be performed by several line organizational units and physical sites, primarily Saab Aeronautics in Linköping and Saab Surveillance in Huskvarna.

The other project is focusing on research and development of next generation fighter cockpit. The project aims at tackling the technological challenges of future air fighter and the collaborative combat space by identifying, assessing and developing innovative technologies and disruptive interactive modalities to be integrated into future fighter cockpits. Main partners are from France, Germany and Spain.

Your profile

To be successful in the role we expect you to have excellent leadership and communication skills. Due to the nature of the job, we are looking for a stable personality, capable to perform in an international environment and comfortable with handling many external contacts at the same time.



It is a merit if you have experience in at least one following areas:

Complex projects with many stakeholders

Experience of public funding (EU, Vinnova or similar) project
*

Participated in international projects
*

You have strong drive and ability to create commitment and energy within the organization
*

You have excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
