Cyclife Sweden AB is a company within the EDF Group that conducts nuclear operations at the Studsvik area outside Nyköping. The company has just over 100 employees. The parent company EDF is the world's largest nuclear power operator. Cyclife offers the nuclear power industry, both within Sweden and internationally, decommissioning services and treatment solutions for low radioactively contaminated material. The purpose of the treatment solution is increased material recycling or volume reduction prior to final disposal. More than 95% of the metal treated can be recycled for the manufacturing of new products. Safety, long-term responsibility for people and the environment and sparing our natural resources through a high degree of recycling are top priorities.
We are now looking for a Senior Project Manager for a waste management project that Cyclife is working on within the German market. Initially, it is a consulting assignment of 12 months via Unik Resurs, with the possibility of long-term cooperation or employment as Cyclife’s project organization is expanding.
Duties and responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager, you are primarily responsible for leading and running all parts of the customer project. You will have a lot of external and internal contacts in addition to the customer, such as specialists and experts, Cyclife Holding/EDF, and the company in Germany that will handle local activitiesin the project on site. There is an expectation that you as Project Manager act proactively and can work on things that are not yet fully defined.
The project is in the start-up phase in 2021 and it will be your area of responsibility to prepare all project activities regarding planning and documentation and to be the link between the German team and Cyclife's team to be able to deliver in accordance with the agreement. You will also handle transport issues and suppliers in the area to be able to plan and ensure safe transport of radioactive waste consisting of large components from the demolition project in Germany to Cyclife's facility in Sweden. The variation between strategic and operational work is telling for this role, and we are looking for you who thrive in a combined work of a holistic perspective and detailed issues. The combination of tasks places high demands on you to handle in a professional way.
Most of your time you work as the main project manager in this customer project, but your expertise may be required in other tender work also within the business. Based on the complexity of the project, you should be on site in Germany as well as at Cyclife's operations in Studsvik, Sweden. Thus, we see a flexibility regarding your geographical positioning.
Specification of tasks in your role as Project Manager:
- Manage the execution of the customer’s project (budget, quality, technology, schedule, risk and contract management).
- Maintain good customer contact, maintain and participate/lead in project meetings with customers and be the driving party in ensuring that framework agreements are complied with.
- Reporting to steering group.
- Responsible for and lead customer audits.
- Lead and control any sub-project managers.
- Responsible for ensuring that employees in the customer project receive information and instructions on an ongoing basis to be able to solve their work tasks.
- Carry out checks for the customer project linked to the existing agreement.
- Ensure that any change and additional jobs are anchored with the customer and invoiced.
- Follow the customer project process and actively document, analyse and drive actions. linked to, for example, improvement measures, customer deviations, etc.
- Be a driving party in the transfer of experience from the project to other similar projects within the business.
Your profile
To succeed in the role, we see that you:
- Have solid experience of working independently as a Project Manager in extensive external customer projects in an international and industrial project environment, alternatively in the construction industry.
- Have experience of handling international transports of dangerous goods / materials.
- Have experience of working with and managing contact with suppliers.
- Can communicate in both speech and writing in English and German.
- It is considered a merit if you are a certified Project Manager.
- It is considered a merit if you have knowledge regarding Waste-Management.
- It is considered a merit if you have experience of working in Contract Management.
