SCM Project Office belongs to the Supply Chain Management organization within the Operations & Engineering Cluster. Supply Chain Management is globally responsible for all Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics, Spart Parts Logistics, Customs & Export, and the full Sales and Operations Planning process. 

The SCM Project Office is the lead transformation engine within the Supply Chain Management organization. We run key strategic cross-functional projects within the full SCM scope, often also connected to the Commercial as well as the Manufacturing arenas. Our key focus areas are to drive the transformation needed within the Supply Chain to enable Volvo Cars strategic direction with electrification, online direct sales, and sustainability.

The SCM Project Office team has a holistic and broad senior expertise within business transformation and operational development together with a strong team spirit. You will be part of a dedicated team that handles complex global challenges in a dynamic and fast-moving business environment with many different interfaces, internally as well as externally. As a team, we continuously strive to improve and develop, and we value having fun together!

What you will do
You will be a key resource when it comes to realizing the Volvo Cars Strategy through transformation and operational development projects within the Supply Chain Management area. 

You will initiate and manage key cross-functional projects with an end-to-end responsibility under your scope. Supported by a project team, senior matter experts, and senior executives. 

Pending on project scope this covers the full range of activities from operational strategy development and concept design to solution implementation and value realization. You will have change management in your mind from the start of every project. Cause we want to create change together, that lasts. You will communicate within all levels of the company around your projects. Preparing presentation material, presenting, and anchoring decisions for senior executives as well as all other impacted levels.

You will work with a fact-based and business case-driven approach securing that the solutions developed always are the best for Volvo Cars. When it comes to realizing value, you will work closely with key stakeholders from the business side as well as the digital side. Securing those improvements based on digital solutions fulfills the business requirements.

You and your skills
•    As a person you are passionate about driving transformation and realizing value in a global context. You combine a healthy dose of creativity and strategic mindset with a can-do attitude and do not hesitate to take on new challenges. You are curious and always seek to learn and understand and you find it encouraging to work in a fast-changing environment. 
•    You have extensive experience in initiating and managing projects and leading teams from operational strategy development and concept design to solutions implementation and value realization. 
•    You understand the importance of stakeholder management and balancing stakeholder needs to accomplish a wanted outcome. You also understand the importance of change management to be able to transform an organization into something new that lasts. You create trust by building strong relationships and consistently delivering value according to promises.
•    You are an excellent communicator with the ability to convey messages on all levels, from executive management to the shop floor. Verbally, written, and through presentations.  
•    You have strong analytical skills and value the power of analytics and problem-solving methodology to really understand the root causes before defining solutions.
•    You have functional expertise in one or several of the areas supply chain logistics, sales & operations planning, procurement, or manufacturing. Preferably in combination with experience from defining requirements for digital solutions and collaborating with digital teams in agile mode.
•    Most likely, you have a Business or Technical Master’s degree but most of all you will contribute to our team with your skills and your spirit.
