Our role in Service Market Logistics is to keep society running. We make sure that food gets to the grocery store, hospitals have electricity, and that people can commute to work. We do that by keeping Volvo Group trucks, engines, buses, and construction equipment running uninterrupted all over the world. Together in a truly global organization of 3,500 talented people from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and skills, we ensure spare parts are available when they are needed in a sustainable network of 5,000 suppliers, 3,000 dealers and 40 distribution centers. We develop, manage, and optimize the aftermarket supply chain for all Volvo Group brands.

Strategy, Innovation & Project Management is a trusted team leading the development of the SML global strategy, exploring and scaling new technologies, and driving key logistics and IT projects. We work with a variety of topics at the strategic forefront such as: Automation (Digital Twins, Robotics, AI, traceability), Digitalization and IT systems, Electromobility logistics, Sustainable and Circular operations, Transport Visibility, New Warehouse investigations, and select task forces. We are a team of 12 based in Sweden, France, Belgium and United States. A mix of backgrounds and competence – yet unified by our shared ambition to deliver with speed, agility, and excellence!


You as Senior Project Manager are structured, self-motivated and results driven. You have a clear communication and coaching style, inspiring trust and collaboration on all levels. Your work ranges from early-stage investigations to full-scale implementations. You are detail-oriented but at the same time able to keep the big picture and holistic view. You will lead initiatives of considerable size and complexity (IT/Capex) where the following traits are beneficial:
Translate high-level business needs into structured requirements and deliverables
Manage change effectively and communicate with executive stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills, lead global/regional teams across different cultures
Experience with established project frameworks and agile methodologies
10+ years experience with proven track record managing large-scale initiatives
Masters degree in business, engineering, logistics or related
Fluent in English

You will report to the Head of Strategy, Innovation & Project Management. Occasional travel expected.


The job location is flexible but preferably in Gothenburg, Ghent or Lyon.
