What you will be a part of
Saab Public Affairs is a Corporate Group Function reporting to deputy CEO, with three main tasks • Provide strategic guidance to the executive management and to all parts of the Saab Group • Execute and support public affairs activities within the Saab Group• Coordinate and support public affairs activities related to EU, NATO and UN.
Your role
The Public Affairs Advisor develops, leads and implements public affairs advocacy objectives and policy priorities for Saab, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders. You need to work collaboratively and transparently with the Saab business and market areas to ensure alignment between core business priorities, and public policy goals.
The Public Affairs Advisor’s main tasks are to: • Follow and analyze security and defense policies and provide guidance and advice to Saab management on political developments in strategic markets. • Assess and communicate political initiatives, e.g. new proposals and regulations, and to develop a Saab position to mitigate risks or enhance strategies. • Coordinate external advocacy efforts, outreach programs and key initiatives in concert with Saab business objectives• Facilitate high-level meetings between Saab executives and key stakeholders, including senior government officials, regulators, industry association and alliance partners to promote and advocate the company’s public policies.• Engage stakeholders and provide information in order to explain Saab’s policies, objectives and challenges relevant to Saab’s business opportunities and competitiveness. • In close collaboration with Market Areas and Business Areas support and coordinate public affairs measures on strategic markets.
Your skills and experience
We believe you have a good understanding and extensive experience from working in a political driven organization. You must have excellent knowledge of Swedish Government structures and processes. We also value if you have a good understanding of Swedish Security and Defence policies and experience from developing public policy.
You should have proven analytical and communication skills and an excellent network within relevant group of stakeholders. We believe you have a master’s or bachelor's degree in a relevant field and excellent knowledge of spoken and written English. Experience from industry is a merit.
To meet the high demands of the position we look for a senior person with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
