We are looking for a Senior Purchaser to the Package Purchasing department (PGI4 BP22). The position is located in Finspong, Sweden and you will have a close working relationship with our colleagues in Lincoln, UK, and other Siemens companies in Europe.
The Package Purchasing department is responsible for the supplier base that is utilised for procurement of gas turbine auxiliary components and systems.
The working tasks are focused on the strategic areas, as described below, but operational purchasing does exist.
developing procurement strategies with a global supplier base, which supports attainment of financial plans and objectives
negotiate and finalise contracts with selected suppliers
continuos develop the supply chain together with the suppliers and other departments within the company to secure quality, lower cost and shorten lead time
monitoring and evaluating supplier market conditions
benchmarking best internal and external practices for strategic commodities
actively contributing to the progress of the Key Commodity Management teams
Necessary qualifications to fulfil the tasks with satisfying results are:

Requirements:
degree in engineering or business
5-10 years of working experience
international working experience
commercially aware and technically literate
fluent in English and Swedish. German an advantage
