Senior Purchaser Tools - China

The Purchasing department at Plastal Industri AB is responsible for all purchases within the group including the plants in Sweden, Norway and Belgium.Tool purchasing is of utmost importance due to high initial investment for tools and high impact on our production performance.Asia and especially China is one of the worlds fastest growing markets in the automotive industry.As Senior Purchaser we are offering you the possibility to establish and develop Plastal s presence in China.Your main responsibilities are to ensure our suppliers commitment to Plastal s needs in terms of quality, delivery, commercial conditions and performance in the projects.You will be located in China and work side by side with Chinese co-workers and be the representative for headquarters and the Purchasing department.Main tasks: * Contribute to establish Plastals purchasing office for tools in China * Find and evaluate performance of Chinese suppliers * Source, secure performance, negotiations and participate in closing agreements * Monitor tool progress and handle changes in the projects * Follow technical development within injection moulding tools * Participation in tool reviews, trial runs and concept development We are looking for a person with at least five years of experience from injection moulding tool work or tool purchasing in the automotive plastic industry.You will be working in an international business environment and it is important that you have purchasing experience from China.Your educational background are at least three years of technical upper secondary school or related discipline or equivalent experience.Personal characteristics looked for are ability to build business relationships, structured approach, initiative and a clear focus on delivering results.You have good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish and experience from common PDM systems.Apply for this job by clicking "Send Application", below or to the right.Please submit your application before the 12th of September 2010.
