Senior QA Test Engineer

OSS ( Operating supporting systems) is the layer between network and IT. OSS provides support system for activating and changing services, expanding the network and monitoring it. Today 100 persons divided in 5 departments works in OSS. One of the departments is Service fulfilment and we are responsible for provisioning, activation and changes of services, fraud detection and content billing.
This is the job
We are now looking for a Senior QA test engineer to team up with our current QA team. As a QA within our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of your team’s products and features before release to end users. You develop automated test cases and you also help identify improvements to the framework to ensure it is maintained and invested in properly. You have the ability to understand and map product requirements, system requirements and industry standards to be able to produce a complete test plan.
We are in the middle of a transformation journey towards cloud solution, CI/CD processes, Micro services, containers and more data driven solutions. We use Scrum as a framework in planning and day to day work in the team, and SAFe as a upscaled company-wide Agile approach.
You will be responsible for…
• Testing mainly in Java, in a Linux environment.
• Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy
• Suggest solutions to identified product problems
• Collaborate with the Developer to ensure consistent project execution and usability
• Being “hands on” in your approach, be pro-active and demonstrate initiative.
This is what we think you have…
• Deep knowledge and several years’ experience in Quality assurance and test automation from e.g. telecom industry.
• Experience from working in an Agile development environment and being a part of a DevOps-team that is responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills both in Swedish and English
You are solution driven, have a strong inner drive and the ability to understand complex user needs. You are a critical thinker with problem-solving skills and have experience from QA in e.g. telecom support systems environments. Being a team player defines you and you take ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the customers experience.
