Operations are divided into four product areas: Tube, Strip, Wire and Heating Technology - and Primary Products.

The corporate Quality Department SQQ is a staff function within SMT that sets the Quality strategy, conducts training and audits and maintains SMT's Quality Management systems. Right now we are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to be located in Sandviken.

Key performance areas
As Senior Quality Engineer, in cooperation with your colleagues, you develop the Quality Strategy for SMT.

Your responsibilities include to:
- Follow up and analyze Quality KPIs
- Lead projects within Quality Management and improvements
- Perform internal and external quality audits
- Act as an internal quality consultant for our units within SMT
- Conduct training sessions
- Represent SMT's Quality department when meeting colleagues and customers

You will be part of the Global Quality Network, a group of 14 Quality experts discussing all quality related issues at SMT and making strategic decisions together for SMT's quality work.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a relevant Bachelor's degree and at least five years' experience in Quality Management in an international environment. You have very good knowledge of the quality standard ISO9001:2008 and various methods of problem solving, and you can use statistical methods for analysis.

Knowledge of some other Quality standards, such as ISO/TS16949, AS9100, ISO13485, ISO17025, API Q1 and/or ASME Section III Subsection NCA-3800, as well as a Six Sigma green or black belt certificate and/or knowledge about Sandvik's products and production are advantageous, as is knowledge of Minitab. Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish are a prerequisite for the position.

As a person you are self-motivated and service minded, with a proactive and structured way of working. You also have strong communication and auditing skills.
