Role Overview
The Senior Quality Supplier Engineer reports to the Head of Quality Assurance and has broad responsibility for ensuring the excellence of parts supplied from Heart’s suppliers.
During ramp-up activities, the Senior Quality Supplier Engineer will:
- Ensure Quality and Compliance of parts purchased taking into account contract requirements
- Make the voice of the customers present and understood among all suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Support and guide all suppliers towards excellence by implementing Methods and Tools recommended by Heart Aerospace
This role presents a challenge and an exciting opportunity to develop, advance and influence the development of the QMS at Heart Aerospace. To achieve this, we value great self-discipline and teamwork.
Your key responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Attending to Evaluation and Selection process for Suppliers in cooperation with Supply Chain and Procurement teams
- Support Suppliers in understanding Heart’s Quality requirements
- Ensure that Suppliers apply and remain compliant with applicable Heart requirements
- Ensure the Quality of Parts and Processes provided by Suppliers meet Heart’s expectations (Quality, Cost, Delivery)
- Ensure the follow-up of Quality Assurance Plan implemented by Suppliers (System, Product, Transfer of activity)
- Evaluate, Plan and Carry out monitoring actions (audits, quality samples, etc.) within the Supplier and ensure they cascade Heart’s requirements to their own suppliers (level 2)
- Ensure management and follow-up of non-conformities/concessions delivered by Suppliers
- For the Material Review Board (MRB) process, identify and manage process and product findings detected at Supplier level until the effectiveness of corrective actions using problem solving tool (5W, 8D)
- Monitor Suppliers performance and share specific data with Supply Chain and Procurement teams
- Attending the performance reviews with Suppliers in cooperation with Supply Chain and Procurement teams
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate degree in Aerospace/Automotive or Quality Management discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Management within an Aerospace or Automotive company environment
- Direct experience within EN9100:16 / ISO TS16949:09 and/or EASA regulations (Part 21, Part 145)
- Direct experience with audit planning & execution (Products, Logistic, Regulatory audits)
- A strong compliance and detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English
- Eagerness to work with others
- Passion for electric aircrafts and Heart’s mission
The ideal candidate would have
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- Experience working as focal point with Certification Bodies and Authorities (Civil Aviation or any other)
- Proficiency in advanced auditing techniques
